Hello, lovers. I am so ecstatic to share a glimpse of what we do around here. Paper Cliché is a full service design studio specializing in modern, romantic semi-custom wedding stationery. In the heart of a beautifully renovated venue, The Swanner House, unforgettable design unfolded, curated with immaculate taste by Wilde and Sage CO and photographed through the lens of Taylor Stuck. I am absolutely obsessed with this elevated autumnal editorial fused intimacy, romance, and refined luxury. Every element of this day was meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of warmth, elegance, and an enchanting touch of whimsy. And it all came together and found its home in… British VOGUE. What a literal dream.

One of my besties actually got married over a decade ago at The Swanner House in San Juan Capistrano, California, and I almost didn’t recognize it from its photos. It got a major facelift last year letting its vintage architectural beauty shine. It provided the perfect backdrop for this shoot and really set the tone.

The invitation set the stage for the night. A custom suite featuring hand drawn illustration and scripting paired with minimalist typography. The details card was printed on a beautiful seeded paper adding just the right texture play all held together with the most delicate ribbon from Tono Co. The custom menus on handmade paper were paired with a wine colored wax seal and delicate place card with matching wine ink. Everything leaned into intentional romance and understated elegance.

I am obsessed with how this intimate setting all came together. This table was a MOOD and the internet seemed to really love it. The menus were printed on rustic handmade paper with minimal typography and paired with a citrus themed wax seal in merlot! The perfect finishing touch. The florals were equal parts lush and romantic by Gather Floral and I don’t think I will ever get over them!

The bar was a celebration was its own moment. Crafted from wood and linen, the bar sign was understated and the perfect compliment to the intricate florals. We love the way it interacted with the drinks and dripping wax.

In the end, the evening at The Swanner House was a visual love letter to the joy of gathering with loved ones, surrounded by beauty and a little bit of magic.
