A Vibrant Old Hollywood Affair: Maggie and Korbin's Glamorous Palm Springs Wedding | The Colony Palms

Hello, lovers. I am so ecstatic to share a glimpse of what we do around here. Paper Cliché is a full service design studio specializing in modern, romantic semi-custom wedding stationery. Think: understated elegance, organic minimalism, and high touch service. The main focus of our services being luxury print methods, premium materials, and a making the wedding stationery process as easy as possible for you.

Nestled against the backdrop of the majestic San Jacinto Mountains, the Colony Palms Hotel captures Spanish colonial architecture fused seamlessly with art deco style. It was the most fitting place for Maggie and Korbin to say their “I-do’s”. The day was filled with bright yellows and greens, old hollywood glamour, and true class. When I first met Maggie and Korbin, their vision was so unique and anything but your typical Palm Springs inspiration.

The invitation suite featured custom calligraphy and a hand-drawn map of Downtown Palm Springs. Being a desert lover myself, it was so fun to draw the Colony Palms and the art museum and all of the fun retaurants we frequent during our little PS getaways! We sealed each ribbon with a wax seal featuring a delicate hand drawn wildflower we created ot use throughout the suite. Making another appearance in a custom motif on their envelope liners, their cocktail napkins, and their rehearsal dinner welcome sign. We layered handmade papers of varying neutrals shades and could not be more pleased with the final suite!

That grainy film vibe carried the day…

The glamour!

Foreshadowing that dress change…

Deckle edged paper having it's moment…

Have you ever seen a more effortlessly beautiful arch?!

The stormy weather just making the florals pop. We’ll take it.

The day of details were so. much. fun. We custom color matched sets of signature acrylic bar menus and signage with shades of chartreuse and sand, created an organic modern welcome sign on natural birch. I loved their unique wood pillar seating chart install that Best Day Florals topped with vibrant yellow and green florals.

New trend: carrying champagne back down the aisle.

Color palette is coming through strong.

Vintage charm carried the day (Can we talk about her dress?!) There was a romance and elegance in all the textures, colors, and depth, living up the hype of the location… and to their iconic style. And despite the literal sand storm and pouring rain that blew through (right after the ceremony!!!!!!!), the weekend celebration was one for the books. The happy couple smiled through it all.

All the romance.

A Wes Anderson film for real.

That ribbon though?! Dreamy.

Dress #2. Iconic.

The florals. The cake. The acrylic bar sign. Matches made in heaven.
